Top Wedding Trends of 2011

The 2011 wedding trends include rustic-chic concepts, lots of details and a ton of creativity. Outdoor weddings are a big must and indoor weddings are getting a little break.

Back to Basics
Out are the huge and over the top flower arrangements. This year it is all about small and simple ones, with less quantity. Tables should be long and elegant instead of round, because long tables not only emphasize the decoration but are reminiscent of homemade family celebrations.
Must trends: include country flowers, recycle small glass (such as mason jars) and tin tea cans, create an eco-chic and rustic feeling for the wedding, which is both original and elegant.
The weather is hard to predict, but outdoor weddings are a huge trend for 2011 because a party in the outdoors is different, fun and relaxing. Just be sure to have a plan B, just in case it rains on your big day.
The past is back! Incorporating modern elements that have a historical past is a huge trend. Building a theme around a historical concept, using your mother's or grandmother's wedding dress, or using black and white photos of family weddings helps create that romantic and nostalgic atmosphere.
Details have always been huge for weddings but now more than ever they are huge! Everything should be planned down to the last feature. The color palette should be unique and reflected in every detail.A must for is a wedding planner to transform your dreams into reality.
Food should be simple but of the highest possible quality. Traditional menus should be reinterpreted in a modern way. Serving lemonade, flavored iced teas and sangria is a huge trend when served in over sized glass decanters.
Wedding cakes are still tall and elegant but fondant has been replaced by delicious butter cream, sugar flowers are gone and in our natural flowers and sugared fruits. As always the wedding cake is one of the main focal points of the reception.
